Proof of love by mathematical induction:

Let P(n) be the statement that you love your girlfriend on day n, for all n in the set of natural numbers.

So, I'm pretty sure P(1) is true, otherwise she wouldn't be your girlfriend.

So, now we assume some P(k) is true for some k in the set of natural numbers. So given that you spend day k attached to your girlfriend, then you get motivation to be attached to her for day k + 1. Thus P(k) implies P(k + 1).

Thus, P(n) is true for all n in the set of natural numbers by mathematical induction.

Have you ever had friends you placed expectations on because you believed in them? And then had those expectations not met? And you just feel like shit after that? Maybe its better to live life with fewer expectations. That way, you end up disappointed less.

"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.

You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life... You give them a piece of you.

They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart.

It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love."

I pulled this off a friend's blog. Just something to think about.
So, here's the first post for September and I'm almost at the end of the second week of school.

I'm pretty happy doing what I'm doing right now. I guess I can say that I've settled into a routine of school, homework and some exercise, and its good to be back in the groove after more than 2.5 years of not studying. Its good to know that lots of stuff from JC are still around, and that helps tremendously in the first couple of weeks when I can concentrate on settling in instead of struggling with homework and stuff.

Homework's pouring in, and its a daily uphill struggle to keep up with everything that comes my way. So far its been managable, and I hope it stays that way.

Watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Miami Dolphins on TV now. The Steelers are supposed to be really good - they won the Superbowl last year after all, but they're not doing so good right now. I guess we'll see =p
