Its been snowing and snowing the past few days, which has made for interesting weather. Its been nice sometimes, and really nasty sometimes (like when I slipped and fell yesterday because of the ice at the slope near the traffic junction). But I wonder why anyone would play soccer in the cold.

Intro to Feedback Control Systems

I went to this class today, and got a "first day survey" from the instructor.

So it started off good... Have you taken a linear algebra class? Do you know the meaning of eigenvalue, eigenvector, matrix inverse? Yes...

Then... Have you taken a class in differential equations? erm... no... Do you know the meaning of a Laplace transform? initial conditions? Runge-Kutta integration? erm... nopes

Have you had a class in dynamics? no? Do you know the meaning of Lagrangian? Newton-Euler equations? Bode plot? Q factor?

Oh dear...

Internet-less no more...

Flashing the router firmware with the US version of the firmware doesn't really work out very well for some reason.... the linksys customer support people ought to learn that. That's what they had my brother do, and so I was internetless yesterday evening until I managed to reflash the Singapore version of the firmware on the router. So, the bottom line is that I'm back!

One more week till I'm back in CMU...
